All Around Camps
If you are searching for variety, this is the place to be. These camps fall into two categories: more choices than you can throw a stick at or just, plain, well-rounded rowdy camps with a little of everything.
San Antonio Academy: What do you want? They’ve got it. The later you are after Spring Break, the more you need to make sure you’ve checked the closed class list. These camps fill up fast!
Jewish Community Center: Very loud. Very active. Very fun. And swim lessons everyday of the week.
North East Independent School District: Wins the award for most interesting with its week-long Claymation camp.
Northside Independent School District: Wins the award for the most intriguing because I’ve always wanted to run off and join the circus with its clowning camp.
Summer at the Heights: Wins the award for best ewwwwww-factor with its advanced extreme dissection camp.
Summer at the Hall: Classes start for ages 3 and up. Wins the award for gee-my-kids-need-that for A to Z Etiquette
Primrose Schools: three locations in San Antonio, but they all offer the same camps
Summer Survivor Camp at St. Luke’s Episcopal School
Also – be sure to check area faith communities. Chances are very good that if they offer child care during the year, they also have a summer program. Find a good starting list of accredited schools on the National Association of Education for Young Children’s website.
